Youth Training – Controlled vs Chaotic Environment

Let’s compare a field or court based sport with structured coached strength and conditioning. The demands of sport on a human body are clearly greater than that of a weekly development session where monitoring, control, recovery etc are structured and therefore safe across the board. Loads absorbed are far less and non chaotic with optimal mechanics… Often the complete opposite can be seen in sport.  Of course, no one here is demonising playing sport, after all we’re here to enhance capability, but if you’re a parent sat on the fence all we’re trying to do is educate and offer rationales.
