The Youth Physical Development Model holds valuable guideline information for any one wishing to embark on providing sound exercise prescription to children. We know that all of the physical attributes above are trainable but certain qualities need to have more emphasis at certain times in a child’s chronological age. Although our infographic is a brief overview, it gives us a brief insight into what we need to be aware as coaches. Worryingly though early opportunities to bring about movement literacy and neural adaptations are often skipped…. We’re on a mission to change this through our Child to Champion programme.
