Child To Champion

Movement Mapping in the Youth Athlete | Infographic

Any type of movement training, whether it is learning a sporting skill, general athletic development or strength and conditioning, improves children’s ‘movement map.’

A map can show you what you need to do to get from point A to point B.

The greater a young child’s exposure to movement, the clearer this ‘movement map’ becomes. Children become more aware of their body’s capabilities and literally learn more effective ways to move.

If we can improve the young athletes movement map in our “Child to Champion”coaching sessions then we’re not only improving their movement toolbox within our sessions, it’s going to have a direct impact on enhancing their sporting performance.

We then have a more co-ordinated, better moving young athlete with a deep & wide movement toolbox they can dip into when needed in their chosen sport’s.
