Movement Efficiency | Infographic

Two main contributors to improvement in sports performance revolve around being efficient, and in particular generating force and putting that force where it needs to go. Force leakage and incorrect placement can lower the ceiling potential of an individual considerably. Strength is paramount but it’s only one piece of the puzzle. Many of our youngsters on our LTAD program are involved in running based sports where one of the main underpinning qualities we look to develop is strength and power to aid force generation. However, teaching them where to place this force into the ground with an understanding of basic running mechanics (top speed/accels/change of direction) can improve how that force is applied. The combo is a clear energy saver that contributes massively to efficient movement.
